For those unfamiliar with the animation process it can seem a bit daunting at first. But we're here to help every step of the way. Whether you need us to be full hands on from the beginning of the project or to pick up mid way through production we're happy to help.

How we make an animation
Every animation we’ve worked on is unique, but we always follow the same basic process.
So here’s a quick run down of the steps we follow:
1. Briefing
We’ll have a chat with you to understand your company, story and all your needs for the animation. We want everything to be bespoke to you.
2. Script Writing
Every animation needs a good script as a starting point. This can either be a written voiceover or a description of the action. We’re happy to work with your existing script or work with you to write something exciting and brand new.
3. Research / Concept
We want to create a style and design that works for you. To make this happen, we carry out research on the topic, and of course, take into consideration any brand guidelines and, your inspiration. And then, we get sketching!
Once you’re happy with the sketches, we will create a style frame for your animation. So you can take a peek at how the finished piece will look before we start animating.
4. Storyboarding
Based on your script, we will create a storyboard with sketches and details of on screen action, so you can see our vision for your animation. If you’re not happy at this point, we’re happy to have a play about with it until it’s perfect.
5. Voiceover Recording
Getting the right voiceover is essential. So, we will provide you with a number of voiceover samples so you can chose one, which suits you.
6. Animatic
With a voiceover recorded we now have some timing for your animation.
We use the storyboard frames and animate them in time to the voiceover. This will give you a good idea if the storyboard is working well or not. You’re now one step closer to seeing your final animation.
7. Design
Moving on to the design stage, this is when we create all the assets for your animation. You won’t find any stock graphics and templates in your design. All our graphics are designed in-house. So, you can rest assured that everything we create is unique to you.
8. Animation
Once all of the above is signed off, we can start the long yet exciting process of animation. We’ll keep you updated on the progress, with regular previews, so you can see how the film develops.
9. Sound & Music
Sound plays a massive part in the animation process, and we can ensure you that just as much time and care will go into this stage of the project.
Working with professional sound designers and musicians, we can create bespoke soundtracks to create the perfect experience for your viewers.
Once the sound is added, your animation is ready for your final approval and for you to use as you wish. How exciting!
